Catherine Hurley's research interests are in statistical computing, graphics and data analysis.
She has contributed the PairViz (2009) and
gclus (2004) packages to the R CRAN repository. Both of these contribute improved methods for improved visualisations of multivariate data, via improved orderings (seriation) of graphical components.
Dr. Hurley has also a long-standing involvement in the Quail project.
Quail is a programming environment for quantitative analysis written in Common Lisp. For more information on its current state and how to access the software, check out the Quail homepage.
