Mathematics Department Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, NUI Maynooth

This Department teaches, and does research in, both Mathematics and Statistics. We have a team of 18 permanent or full-time staff and more than 20 assistant staff.

The Department offers a wide variety of undergraduate programmes. There are also extensive opportunities for postgraduate study, involving either course work or research project work.

• Dr. Gilles Courtois, CMLS - École Polytechnique, will give a talk on "Growth of groups and rigidity" at 4pm on Monday the 15^th of February, 2010 in MS2, Top Floor, Logic House.
• Prof. Juan-Carlos Álvarez Paiva, LPP-Université Lille 1, will give a talk on "Jewels and Problems in Finsler Geometry" at 4pm on Wednesday the 17^th of February in MS2, Top Floor, Logic House.
